VoX Jun 7th 2008Sorry to break the big discussion here but a tutorial on Web Design and how to upload it etc would be great.

closeupman Jun 9th 2008To address what has been said here:
There is nothing wrong with 'tracing' (i.e. learning from tutorials). That's how you learn many things in life. If you trace it enough, it becomes second nature and THEN you can integrate it into your workflow and REALLY use it.
As to others not being able to learn from professors:
That's fine we all learn in different ways and what works for one will not work for others. But don't dismiss a way of learning just cuz you don't learn things that way. I took a digital film production class and in our first couple of classes our professor said, "if you just want to make a film and not LEARN the aspects of really making a film, then just don't take the class and go to Circuit City and buy a camcorder and make a film." I learned a lot from that class that will help me in the future.
And who knows what you subconciously learned from your photography class that helped you when you went out and experimented. And isn't experimentation usually a part of learning photography in a class? I know it was when I took a photojournalism class and then took some pictures for our college paper as well. I don't think your photography professor expects you to REALLY learn photography JUST from a book and his lectures. -

Uploading to a website via FTP VoX? -

I dont mind writing an article on the most popular FTP software to be used, comparing them together and drawing a conclusion to what FTP program should be used for uploading material.
Obviously this will be based on the interface, how easy it is to use and the features each include will have a major impact on the rank. Through the article i can also learn you how to upload and the information you need. (This will be in-depth) -
Iceberg Jun 10th 2008Maybe a comparison of the same photograph with different ISO settings, shutter speeds, and apertures?

Iceberg, I have some ideas about putting together something like that. Not so much of an article/tutorial but more like an archive/gallery of different settings and focal lengths. I will see if I can figure out the best way to make it easy to understand and navigate - and then I just have to go out and shoot some. -

Hi!
My vision is some kind of "series" for Webdesigning.
From the idea until the end with uploading it. The series includes designing-tips and the basics for web-designing and all that stuff.
I everytime wonder when I come to this page, it looks so cool and easy-to-read too.
The output should look quite as a real website.
Go on with this great work here!
