I take many many digital photos, but very rarely do they make it to print for one reason or another. Does anyone have suggestions for digital printing? How much difference is there between purchasing a home printer and going somewhere else (like Wolf)? Are there any places I should avoid (like Wolf)? What about online printers? Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I've used Shutterfly for my 4X6 prints, and they turned out nice. They did seem kind of high on the shipping though, so I may be looking for an alternative soon.

I bought a photo printer a while back, and it was just too much of a hassle setting it up; I had to make sure the ink didn't blotch/run dry/make smears/etc. And then after wasting photo paper just getting the thing to line up correctly, I found it easier just to upload them and click print.

Since I live in Sweden I can't give you any advice on what store to go to or avoid — but I can tell you that unless you buy a (really) good photo printer and print quite large amount of photos the best option is to have a store print them. Cheaper photo printers will not give you a good result, and often the ink (and sometimes paper) is expensive.

But it's also important that you check around first, because the price and quality varies so much from company to company. As a photographer I often go with the more expensive high quality prints since I sell (some of) my prints, but at least here in Sweden there are a few really good and affordable choices. I hope you'll find what you're looking for.
