I'm not diggin' the simplicity of it. It seems to simple. I'm not an expert in forum systems, but we can't even have avatars/sigs in this forum, and I don't really like it at all. Is it only looking like this because it's in BETA? Sorry if I offended anyone.

i don't like it either........ but at least it is back

You can have an avatar, it's under Account -> Personal Information. We've talked over and over again about the issue on sigs...

I personally really like this forum system, much cleaner and better then the classic standard forum look. Sure it's different, but not in a bad way if you ask me. The only feature I miss is personal messages to other users, sure we can start a thread that is whispered to a special user, but I would like to see personal messages as their own part of the forum. That's basically my only complain with this set up.

Can you be more specific with what you like and don't like. We can't improve it unless we get constructive critique.

This is not to be a "Replacement Forum" as some people think that it should be. It's a brand new community, and we are building it based on different standards, with different things in mind.

There are millions of forums out there that do signatures better than we could ever strive too. We are working on building up a form on different things, such as rich discussions, surrounding less trivial things than signatures, which have no practical use in any way.

Yea from what i remember when in design phase "the designer" wanted a new community where is wasn't about just showing off, but one about discussion and improvement. While one can not help but miss the old GC, this forum is better in the aspects missing or set astray in the old one.

I like the simplicity of the forum. I get sick of people joining message boards only for a post count. However if you click on somones profile you can still see how many comments they left, it's not really needed.

I believe if your a true member of a community then you will participate wether your post count shows or not.

As far as the avatars and signitures go... we dont need those eaither. If you want to show off your work you can always link us to your DA or profile.

I came here to learn new things and help those that I can with whatever I can. I think Tutorial 9 has alot of potential growth and I am looking forward to seeing this place become one of the best or THE best tutorial driven site on the net.

    Press on!

    Well spoken JerEmy.

And once again I ask, you people that do not like this forum system — please tell us what you do not like. We can read your minds and design the perfect place for everybody unless we learn from you guys what it is you're looking for.

I just bumped into this topic again.

First of all, JerEmy, I don't see why you are ranting on about post counts. I never said anything about the post count at all. I support the no-postcount aspect of this forum.

What I don't like about this forum is that it does not look very well at all. No offense to the hard workers who put in time and effort on this forum, but it doesn't even look like a regular forum. If we wanted a discussion system, why couldn't we just open a blog where people could make their own?

This forum does not look like it was made by artists.

Actually, we're restyling right now... and apparently I didn't block everyone from viewing as I thought I had.
