stock lens' are stock because thats the focal range most people shoot at anyway. I upgraded to the 18-70 because of the metal mount and nikons' vr -

Here is the photo that got published in the Detroit paper. The category was "Summer Fun" so I shot this photo of my cousin sliding on the slip n slide.

It was exciting to be published in the paper in color! That doesnt happen very often and it was on the second page too! This was shot using my 50mm 1.4 wide open and it stopped EVERY bead of water in mid air. I love that lens. -
