Wow. Hahaha... That's pretty insane that you ended up with a helicopter.
I guess my biggest question is, What is your budget? Paint isn't really cheap, and paint jobs are actually very expensive from what I understand. Just so all of our readers have a better understanding of how this is going down, do they need to keep it simple, or can they be as detailed as they please?

No budget.
I spoke with my dad about this previously.
It will most likely need to be taken off our 'helipad' before painting. -

@ SaintJimmy: Nope, whatever you think will look good. My dad is going to choose his favourite.
@Tyler durden: The novelty dies out, as you can imagine. We have a s600 in the garage ;)
To put it bluntly, I have a helicopter in my backyard which has an old, scruffy paint job. The helicopter came into my possession a few years ago, it had crashed in the sea previous to this so it has been useless as a 'flying helicopter' and is now utilised as a tree house with a stereo system.
I haven't got any photos with me, so I will upload them tomorrow, but what I'm asking is:
Who here would like to design a new paint job for this thing? I'm dead serious. The winner will have their design on the helicopter in my backyard (along with credit and your name stamped on there somewhere).
It's going to be really tricky, only for the real graphics pros. I'll be uploading 5 or 6 photos from lot's of different angles. And I will hopefully be surprised to see the results.
Comments? Additional ideas?
