If you're too passionate about one or the other you probably shouldn't be allowed on a public forum such as this. Macs are great, Windows are great for a lot of people. Agree to disagree is best I think.

I think it'll get to the point where the differences between Mac and Windows will be so minute that purchases of either will be based purely on which is cheaper.

Then it's Windows, hands down. Mac and Windows offer different things because they're meant for different types of users. If they became too similar, MS would have a monopoly.. and to my knowledge that's illegal in the US?

I had Vista when it first officially came out in March 07. Upgraded from my MCE 2005 and then two weeks ago, I downgraded back to MCE 2005. Vista was nice, I liked it and I had no problems, then suddenly I kept getting two to three blue screen of death messages a day. The problem still occurred even after I reformatted and installed the OS, so I didn't know what the problem was.

Only thing is that I miss the photo gallery, but live produced an XP replica that has features that even the Vista version doesn't have. So far, XP runs on my Dell XPS 410 so much faster and cleaner. Shame that now my 4GB Ram is now 3GB Ram under this OS. Still trying to figure that out.

Fun stuff, oh and I miss the Media Center in Vista. That was a big upgrade in terms of interface and the one on XP is essentially crap when compared.

Chaos King... Wish I had the link right now, but that's actually a known issue (the 4GB showing as 3GB). I've got a Lenovo X61 that does the exact same thing, but I believe I read that it still functions as if there was 4GB, there's just an issue making it show as 3.

If I find the article, I'll post here with it later.
