I love it!
The symmetry and perspective is great, but the Level 4 sign just makes it so much better. I like the sort of softness in the sign against the harsh stone.
I think you should be excited about this one, great work for a first shoot, looking forward to see what you can do when you get really used to your equipment. -

Thanks Fredrik!
Do you know of a good free raw photo editor? -

Sorry, can't help you much there. I have never used a free software for photo editing — so I can't comment on them.
I've used Apple Aperture (my software of choice), Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop and tested Phase One's Capture One. I can try and look around for a good option for you, but I doubt there are solutions as good as the ones mentioned above, but at least there are open source alternative. -

That looks great Tempest!
I love that its in black and white, because it makes the Level 4 sign capture the attention. I agree with Fredrik, the perspective and the softness of the sign are both great!
This is definitely one of the best photographs I've seen coming from someone who just started. -

Thanks you guys!
I added a couple more up there, and I took like 300 pictures today. After going back and reviewing them though I noticed that I had my ISO set to 1000 so a lot of them were really noisy. It's ok though because I am learning quite a bit and I absolutely love this hobby. Best idea I ever had was to go out and buy a camera and learn how to use one! -
