A 'landscape' image taken in portrait? I've never heard of such a thing!
Looks good, if you take the Eiffel tower out it looks like Melbourne, Australia. What with all the clouds etc.
When were you in Paris? Never had any desire to go there (unless I become a drug addict). -

I traveled across Europe last summer (Italy to Norway). I only got to see a small portion of everything I'd like to see over there... but hopefully I'll make it back sometime soon...
or for that matter, at all. There's just so much to see and experience over there. And the food is incredible too =) -
Tyler durden Jan 11th 2008wow thats a really nice photo the lighting just makes it look really nice

drkz Jan 12th 2008That gives me a good look at what paris looks like since I will be going there in summer!
Its a bit too dark at the buildings probably can brighten that up a little or its only my monitor.. -
Ruuka Jan 13th 2008Hmmm. maybe the image has too much dead space what with the huge skyline and all. but great idea to take a protrait view of landscape.

I love it. The field of view seems to go on forever. -
MPCoyote Jan 13th 2008I wish I could visit Europe some time soon =( lol I really like this photo's composition, gives you a view of the actual Paris while still keeping known landmarks.

@ MPCoyote - Yes and No. It does depict what a lot of Paris really is like (crowded streets, city life, not too many tall buildings), but there are also some very beautiful parts of Paris, such as the gardens/parks, different landscapes, Notre Dame, etc. If you EVER get the opportunity to travel anywhere outside of your own country, I'd jump at the opportunity. It's so rare that some of us are offered such privileges, and there is so much to see out there! -

Very nice photo and great composition. I have never seen the tower from this perspective. Thanks!

I took this photograph from the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France. I thought it was really neat to see how the Eiffel Tower jetted out from the surrounding buildings.
