I wonder if there is an add-ons to firefox that addresses the following: If I search using the ^F for a string , say "Monica" in the DISPLAYED PAGE, where "Monica" does not appear, and then I navigate to a different webpage, the text "Monica" would not be highlighted, even if it does appear. It would be nice to have all "Monica"s highlighted, in any page I navigate to, until maybe I turn a switch off.

    Thanks thanks

You can do this with the google toolbar.

Type in your search into the open field on the Google Toolbar. To the very right of the toolbar each of your search terms will display. Directly to the left of your search terms is a highlighter icon. Click on that. It will highlight ANY of the terms you have typed into the google search bar (different terms will show up in different colors).

It will not work for partial searches though. For instance: I type the words 'to display' in my Google Search bar, and click the highlight button. DISPLAYED will not highlight, even though I have typed in the partial term of 'display'.
