I thought I should share the add-ons that I currently am using for Firefox.

*HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR THOSE WHO LIKE DARK THEMES*
    Theme: Nasa Night Launch
Reason: I love dark themed Firefox browser.

    Add-on: Colorzilla
    Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/271
Reason: You can easily see the color values simply by activating the add-on and hovering over the color.

    Add-on: MeasureIt
    Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/539
Reason: You can measure any area on a web page to check the dimensions.

    Add-on: Screen Grab
    Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146
Reason: Take a 1 picture screen shot of a web page inside the browser. This way, all you get is the web page and none of the browser tool bars.

    *HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR WEB DEVELOPERS*
    Add-on: Web Developer
    Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60
Reason: Adds a tool bar with multiple functions for checking website information. View a web page's CSS sheet, disable forms or images, resize your browser, and more.

    *HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR WEB DEVELOPERS*
    Add-on: Firebug
    Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843
Reason: Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.

    Add-on: FireFTP
    Link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684#reviews
Reason: FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.

Please feel free to share any add-ons that you like to use.

[admin note: Made the links go to the sites to make things easier. Great post!]

Of all the add-ons mentioned here I only use Firebug (makes the life of a web designer so much easier) and Download Statusbar (just added ease of use). So I thought I should mention some of the add-ons I love the most

    Customize Google
Brilliant add-on to streamline your google experience just a little bit more

    Greasemonkey
Greasemonkey is essential in my everyday browsing, it makes it possible for me to re-design websites I often use, or just add or move around the information/user tools etc.
It's possible to just code yourself or download scripts other users have written, which you can also customize how you want. (One problem is that when the website you've redesigned to fit your needs change their layout, since that can sometimes screw things up.

    Mouse Gestures
Just making it easier to navigate.

The list goes on, but a few of my add-ons are not 100% working with the Firefox 3 RC1 version, so I thought it was best to just name the stable ones.

Another good one is Save Session:
Allows you to simply click a button to quit Firefox and save your current session.

James, that's built-in into Firefox 3, so you won't need it much longer.

Ahh I see, I haven't tried it out yet.
