There are four types of marquee tools in Photoshop: Rectangular, Elliptical, Single Row, and Single Column. The tool will select an area of the canvas that you designate, so that any changes made will only occur inside the selection. -

That's a pretty good one Ghostly_Knight! Unfortunately, I've already got one for Marquee Tools. I'll try to keep a list somewhere of all the current ones I have ready.
Update! Here we go with a daily terms list. -

Also known as "jaggies" or "pixelation", aliasing is the visible pattern of pixels in a raster image. Aliasing is most visible on curved or diagonal lines and when there is too much contrast between adjacent pixels. -

Notes Tool
"I can't believe it's not notepad!" -Not as boring as it sounds, this tool is an efficient method to keeping written information about your picture in your .PSD file. The Notes Tool behaves like little expandable sticky-notes that you can place or drag anywhere in the image's window. -

New
The "New" command found in the file menu can be used to create new documents. Once clicked, a splash screen will appear from which you can decide on the size of your document, colour mode, resolution and background contents. This can be particularly useful for Photoshopers. -

This is were all of your tools and colors can be found. ex. Colors pallet-holds a selection of pre-set colors. there are also pallets for brushes. Basically anything found in the Window section at the top. To activate them simply go to Window>XXXXXX (x's stand for the different pallets) and click on them -

Duplicate
Duplicate is a way to copy your work if your one of them hopeless people that goes too many steps ahead and likes what they had before hand. To do this, right click on your photoshop project window and go to Duplicate. A pop up will alert you of your actions and prompt you to insert a project name. When done, click OK to obtain a copy of your work (with layers attached) and proceed to work your magic on the copied version. -

Masking
Masking is an easy way to restrict the area of a layer that is visible, without deleting any part of the layer. This way you still have all of your content in case you decide to reveal it later.
You've probably all see the new design by now on the homepage, therefore you probably saw the new Daily Term feature.
Well, I want to give you all a chance to come up with your own Daily terms. They can be anything Photoshop, Illustrator, Photography, Design, Graphics, Web-developer, tutorial related really. Just write a term, and supply a short definition, and if we like it, we'll throw it into our daily queue. Also, if you're a funny person, throwing a bit of humor into some quotes never hurts :P
Speaking of selecting your daily terms, if yours gets selected, we may just give you an award for helping us out!
Get going!
Update! Here we go with a daily terms list. Don't do ones you already see on this full list!
